Alkareem Trading Group is a producer, processor and exporter of high-quality Rwandan green coffee, working across multiple coffee-producing origins within Rwanda.
Our activities cover the coffee journey from agricultural production and crop management through processing, quality preparation, packaging and international export. Current coffee origins and operating areas include Huye, Nyamasheke and Rusizi, with coffee grown at elevations of approximately 1,700 to 2,000 meters above sea level.
We do not operate as a simple intermediary. We identify suitable coffee-growing land, develop and manage production through owned, rented and operated farming arrangements, provide agricultural inputs and labor, control production planning, process the harvested coffee, and manage its commercial sale and export. The ownership structure of individual farms is not the focus. The value lies in Alkareem’s operational control, production capability and ability to deliver coffee according to buyer requirements.

Alkareem can work with established processing methods as well as additional buyer-specific requirements when production conditions allow. The current processing portfolio includes Fully Washed, Natural, Super Natural, Honey, Natural Anaerobic and Honey Anaerobic, with further customized processing available according to order requirements.
The standard portfolio does not limit Alkareem’s capabilities. We can supply and process additional quantities, processes and specifications according to the buyer’s requirements, crop availability and production feasibility. This allows us to respond to both established coffee programs and customized commercial requirements.
Green coffee is prepared using GrainPro liners with jute outer bags to help protect quality during storage and shipment.
Custom jute bag printing can be coordinated for buyers requiring branded export packaging, subject to artwork and order requirements.
Coffee samples can be requested by prospective buyers before a commercial order is finalized. Samples are provided on a chargeable basis and remain subject to the coffee and processing profiles available at the time of request.
Coffee availability, pricing and shipment preparation depend on the season, crop availability, processing method, quantity, packaging requirements and destination. Each order is evaluated according to the conditions and availability at the time of enquiry.
Alkareem’s coffee activity is designed to create value at origin as well as in international markets. We support local farming communities through employment opportunities, fair compensation, agricultural materials, production guidance and practical support for farmers who have suitable land but need resources, direction or a commercial pathway.
Our role can include providing seeds and inputs, organizing labor, guiding planting and production, supporting crop management, and helping farmers connect agricultural potential with viable processing and commercial outcomes. This section remains general by design and does not publish individual farmer names or stories.
